Chester’s Annual Winter Carnival
From Shakespeare to John Deere
Hear ye, hear ye!
Come one and all to Chester’s Annual Winter Carnival on
Sunday February 19th from 10 am to 4 pm.
Amongst blocks of ice being carved so artfully,
jugglers juggling, magic newly made, stilt-walkers,
and yes, a unicycle too!
But wait. We have more in store for you.
Shakespeare is rumored to appear and perhaps bend your ear.
A call to costume we requireyour finest Renaissance attire,
Venetian mask, jester’s bells, the finest frills.
Prizes will we award to those who honor this request, in categories of the
best.
Costume, mask, and most outlandish is the last.
After ice is carved and prizes won, linger still and have more fun.
Next the tractors will have a run and parade along while revelers cheer
“this is how we get from Shakespeare to John Deere”!
