Ivoryton: Looking for a different way to celebrate the holiday season? Then head down to Ivoryton for an incredible family event on Saturday, December 1st from 5pm to 8pm. The village of Ivoryton will become the brightest village in Connecticut with over 200,000 lights illuminating the town!
The entire village will be participating in this Holiday Extravaganza with carol singing, cookie decorating, dancing Sugar Plum fairies, a Holiday Bazaar and culminating with the lighting of the tallest living Christmas tree in the state at 6pm and the surprise arrival of Santa!
Family activities begin at 5pm and include letters to Santa and holiday letters to our soldiers abroad at the library; dancing Sugar Plum fairies at Six Summit Gallery followed by music from Shinbone Alley; carol singing and the Company of Fifers and Drummers outside the Playhouse; inside the theatre visit Santa’s Grotto where you can take pictures with Santa, activities for the kids including “wish ornamements, face painting and glitter tattoos.
